Sleeping Giant Waking Up

Fox News' ratings are through the roof as they stay on top of the big stories of the day in the face of attacks by the White House and those on the left. Protests and rallies are being held nationwide by people opposed to what this administration is doing to the American people. The Capitol switchboard is constantly jammed by constituents calling their so-called representatives to oppose legislation designed to take our freedom from us.

Conservative books are dominating the bestseller lists, Sarah Palin draws huge crowds to her book signing events, Glenn Beck's and Bill O'Reilly's tour is completely sold out months in advance, and their tv shows are the two highest-rated shows on television.

People on the side of truth have published on the web thousands of emails that prove the "science" behind global warming is a deliberate hoax. College students are exposing vast amounts of corruption in organizations that our president has had close ties to in the fairly recent past. Whistleblowers are reporting illegal intimidation tactics being used by the SEIU to force people to vote their way. Women are uniting online to empower each other and promote conservative values and liberty.

Religious leaders are standing up for God and the right to live by their beliefs and have signed a pledge to do so, even at the risk of being jailed; the Catholic Church has told a Kennedy he cannot take communion because of his position on abortion. Lawsuits have been filed - and won - against school districts that succumbed to pressure by the ACLU to violate students' First Amendment rights.

People everywhere across this great land are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

We should be tracking how many gonads this administration has created or saved!!

Letter to Senators re: HR 3200

Senator:

The numbers of uninsured being reported have been grossly overstated. Adjusting for illegal aliens and young people who do not want insurance, the actual number of uninsured (out of inability to pay) is estimated to be at only 10% of the population.

I am among the 80% of Americans who are happy with their current coverage and do not want any government overhaul of our entire health system in order to insure 10% of our population.
If this healthcare reform is truly about reform, and not about control as most people now believe, there are much more sensible ways to provide coverage for those people than destroying what DOES work.

1) Utilize your Constitutionally enumerated power to facilitate interstate commerce by lifting the restrictions on crossing state lines to buy insurance coverage. This will TRULY increase competition, an excuse the White House is using to try to convince people to support this massive change.

2) Let those without insurance receive medical care at any emergency room regardless of ability to pay. Oh, wait, we already do that.

3) Encourage doctors to set up cash payment options with low fees for those unable to afford insurance. Oh, wait, we already do that too.

4) Encourage setting up low-cost walk-in clinics for those unable to afford insurance. Oh, silly me, we do that already also!

Hmm, I can't think of any other things besides No. 1 above that we aren't already doing that would truly be a solution.

Under no circumstances, however, do I EVER want a "public" option. I know what "public" means; it is the opposite of "private" and means "government controlled."

It is time you stood up and represented your constituents. The government in America works for the people. It does not rule the people.

"Look at who I associate with..."

Obama has said that if we want to know who he is, we should look at those with whom he associates.

Ok, LOOK. Here is a link to an article with background on Van Jones, whom Obama recently appointed as "green czar."

Obama's telling us who he is.

Stop Being Polite

Charles Krauthammer said yesterday on Special Report with Bret Baier that we needed to be civil and polite in the townhall meetings. In saying we need to "be polite," made the mistake that we conservatives have been making for years.

Saul Alinsky, in his "Rules for Radicals," urges holding people to their own values as one tactic to silence them. This allows the leftists to get away with whatever they want and at the same time assures they will not be the victims of their own tactics.

I say, not only do we need to stick to our values, but we need to hold them to our values too. Then if that doesn't work, we need to put on our Righteous hats and do whatever it takes, in the name of Truth, to win.

The truth cannot be defeated. It's the only position of real strength. We need to arm ourselves with the truth and then do whatever it takes to uphold that, even if it means getting loud, yelling back, pushing back twice as hard and not stopping until the war has been won.

We need to call them out at every turn. Force them to produce proof when they make false claims. We need to define the conversation, set the rules and make them stick to them. MAKE THEM stick to them. In the long run, it's really in their best interests to have to deal with the truth. It's what's best for them, and more importantly, it's what's best for EVERYONE.

Senators and Representatives: I Don't Hear You...

Why is there not a huge outcry about the WHITE HOUSE FOMENTING DISCONTENT IN AMERICA?? Where is the outrage about the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES SUPPRESSING FREEDOM OF SPEECH?? Why are you and other leaders not decrying this attack on our freedom that is originating in the White House, which should be the TEMPLE OF FREEDOM FOR THE WHOLE WORLD??

I do not have a voice but you do. Why do we not hear it ringing out loud and clear against this tyranny that our government is trying to force on us??

All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

You are not in Washington to "do nothing." Start doing your job by protecting our freedom that is being threatened by OUR LEADERS.

What is happening today in this country is unconscienable. Stand up for all people by standing up for freedom.

Letter to Nancy Pelosi

I just sent the following letter to Ms. Pelosi:

Ms. Speaker:

I have heard your claims that people are showing up at health care town hall meetings with swastikas. I would like you to furnish proof that anyone prior to 8-6-09, which is when I heard you say that, took a swastika to a town hall meeting.

In addition, please furnish proof of your claims that those who spoke out against the health care proposals were hired, bused, or organized by any organization, including insurance companies and extremist groups.

I expect nothing less than total honesty from my elected officials. While I had no hand in getting you to your current position, you are still an elected official of this country and I demand nothing less than proof of the claims you and others are making regarding the town hall meetings wherein citizens are expressing their anger and concerns about a program that our government is trying to force on us against our will and without thorough debate.

Making unsubstantiated claims is tantamount to lying. Lying to the American people is not acceptable. Unless you can furnish proof of your claims, please do not make them.

Thank you.

Letter to Senators re: Health Care

President Obama has appointed Ezekiel Emanuel to two decision-making positions related to his health care reform proposals. Mr. Emanuel has written that doctors have interpreted the Hippocratic Oath "as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others," and he believes that health care should be reserved for the non-disabled, and that denying health care to the elderly is not discrimination because they would have received the same care as a 25-year-old when they were 25 years old.

He is on record as holding these views, and to be honest with you this in my mind is the opinion of a lunatic who should be nowhere near any policy-making on health care. Yet the president of the United States has appointed him to just such a position. Unbelievable.

He would deny care to the elderly and the disabled, but why stop there? Why not deny health care coverage to prisoners? Certainly they are a drain on society. What about accident victims who may wind up disabled from their injuries, even if only partly? Will EMT's have the discretion not to perform life-saving procedures at the scene, or will there be some bureaucrat who will be a first responder and make that determination? And what about our returning heroes? Those disabled veterans would probably cost the country a bundle, never mind that they made huge sacrifices in service to their country.

Do you have parents who are aging? Oh, wait. They are probably covered on your health plan so you don't have to worry about them.

This madness has to stop. Surely our legislators can come up with a sensible plan instead of this outrageous Orwellian utopian garbage.

Please do what is right for Americans. You know in your heart this is not right.
